Wonderful time at Whitley Bay

North Tyneside Council is inviting residents to an event celebrating the history of Whitley Bay.

On Friday 26 March, at 2.30pm, in Whitley Bay Library, Park Road, author Bill Mood will be launching his new book "Having a Wonderful Time at Whitley Bay".

In his latest publication, Bill reveals what life was like in the seaside town during his childhood in the 1930s and 40s.

The book also contains images of the town's streets, buildings promenade and beaches, as well as St Mary's Lighthouse and the Spanish City.
