Shoppers looking to be entertained should step into North Tyneside's town centres this weekend.
On Saturday, January 28, stilt-walking couple Dotty Long Legs will be visiting each of the borough's town centres, providing lots of family fun.
The pair will be in Whitley Bay town centre from 10am until 11.30am, North Shields town centre between 12.30pm and 2pm and in Wallsend town centre from 3pm until 4.30pm.
These events form part of a wide and varied programme of town centre events organised by North Tyneside Council as part of its commitment to support town centre businesses.
Anybody wanting to find out more information can sign up for a regular e-newsletter detailing all up and coming events in North Tyneside by emailing: events@northtyneside.gov.uk.
Previous town centre events have included a caricaturist, pavement art, circus street theatre, dance displays, live music and appearances from children's favourite TV characters including Peppa Pig, Fireman Sam and Postman Pat.
All events are weather dependent and in the case of poor weather conditions, some outdoor events may either be cancelled or moved indoors.
