North Tyneside shoppers will be the focus of this weekend's town centre events.
Retro Snaparrazi photo booths will be in the Forum Shopping Centre in Wallsend and along Bedford Street in North Shields, on Saturday, October 8, between 11am and 3pm.
Shoppers can wear funky costumes, provided by Metro Radio's Street Team, and then have their picture taken in the booth.
Their photos will then be uploaded onto the Metro Radio website at www.metroradio.co.uk with prizes on offer for the best snaps.
The booths will also be appearing across North Tyneside's town centres throughout October.
Also in North Shields, The Blyth and District Model Railway Society will be exhibiting at the Beacon Shopping Centre, between 11am and 3pm.
There will be a large model railway layout for enthusiasts to check out, while representatives from the organisation will be chatting to shoppers and answering any questions they may have.
Meanwhile, an enterprise event will be taking place in Whitley Bay town centre, between 11am and 4pm.
People interested in becoming self-employed can take advantage of some free business start-up advice, courtesy of the Business Factory. Coaches will be answering questions and giving enterprise advice.
Shoppers can also enjoy some carnival themed activities including face painting, small rides and street theatre, as well as cooking demonstrations by local chefs along Whitley Road.
These events form part of a wide and varied programme of town centre events organised by North Tyneside Council as part of its commitment to support town centre businesses.
