A new book telling the history of some of the borough's pubs and clubs is to be launched at Wallsend Library, Ferndale Avenue.

On Friday 16 April, at 2pm, author Steve Boundey will be on hand to sign copies of his latest publication, as well as chat about some of the public houses in Wallsend, Howdon and Willington Quay.

"Wallsend Pubs and Clubs" looks at many of North Tyneside's best-known drinking establishments, including photographs and the history of the buildings.
