Scores of shoppers have voted for their favourite North Tyneside festive window.
North Tyneside Council's Best Dressed Window competition began on December 2, and already around 180 people have made their choice.
This is the first time the winners have been judged by residents, rather than the council, and the public have until Monday, December 19 to pick their favourite display.
To vote, visit: www.northtyneside.gov.uk/christmas.
John Fleet, North Tyneside Council's town centre manager, said: "The response from the public to this Christmas contest has been amazing, but there's still plenty of time for people to vote, as well as enter a display.
"The competition aims to encourage shoppers to visit the borough in the run up to Christmas, by creating a lively and vibrant festive atmosphere."
All voters will be entered into a prize draw to win a pair of tickets to a show of their choice at PLAYHOUSE Whitley Bay.
There will be prizes for the best window in North Shields, Wallsend, Whitley Bay, as well as a category for businesses not in a town centre.
Each of the winning businesses will receive £50 while the second and third in each category will pick up £30 and £20 respectively.
Shops not yet signed up can still take part by contacting TEL: (0191) 643 6419 or email: john.fleet@northtyneside.gov.uk
